We are looking to develop and grow a Portfolio Analyst and are currently offering exciting and interesting opportunity for a Portfolio Support Officer (PSO) to join our IT Department. There are a number of trading divisions that all deliver projects under the same framework and this role as an IT PSO will give you a working knowledge of the projects and the methodology and tools that the departments use across our various divisions.

As a PSO will help you to develop your skills, gain insightful practical experience and help you fast track your career, gaining a head start with an industry standard qualifications. The role is designed to fully support you professionally by giving you hands on work experience, supplemented with a professional study programme.

Tasks may include:

* Resource allocations to projects and frequent communication with our development team in India

* Producing monthly reports that analyse various aspects of IT delivery and content, which are then presented in Senior Management meetings

* Quality assurance of project and programme reports

* Portfolio management - strategic planning allowing the correct decisions to be made for an effective balance between change delivered by projects/programmes and business as usual

* Plan, monitor, communicate and update system releases

* Plan and take minutes at meetings

* Maintain Budget and keep budget spreadsheets up to date with expenses

* Monitoring PSO mailboxes on a daily basis

* Maintaining and updating project portfolios including mandates.

Skills and experience:

* Advanced experience with using Excel for financial planning
* PPSO certification
* Prince II certification
* Degree desirable, but not essential

Key competencies:* Strong logical thinker with high attention to detail and the ability to spot trends and patterns
* Works on own initiative and takes ownership of deliverables with minimal day to day direction
* Self-sufficient but also a team player who is quick to build effective working relationships
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively influence and negotiate with Senior Business Stakeholders and other IT professionals at all levels,
* Proactive with an organised and methodical approach, operating with pace, enthusiasm and creativity
* Excellent planning, numerical and data analysis skills
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbally
* Highly motivated individual with the drive to learn and succeed
