Our client is a well-established successful pension administration software provider. We’re looking for DevOps Engineers to join our Technology division as we move to Agile and Lean ways of working.

The Transformation of our business is about investing in our people, adopting Scrum, XP, Kanban and DevOps capabilities such as automated provisioning, configuration and deployments on a virtualised landscape. This role is critical in realising our ambitions, we’ve adopted Scrum and XP practices, migrated to Bitbucket, Jenkins, mavenised the builds and we’re overhauling our entire infrastructure landscape.

Our direction is virtualisation with VM Ware, provisioning with Packer and Chef and a true adoption of DevOps philosophies, ways of working and tooling. As a DevOps engineer you’ll be working side by side with Scrum teams ensuring a smooth, rapid flow of software to our customers not only provisioning environments but also configuring them and deploying solutions to our customers and optimising that pipeline through automation.

This is a highly technical role with an opportunity to work with a forward thinking Agile CTO creating an environment of continuous learning and development. You will be expected to have excellent technical knowledge and experience in the areas of automated provisioning, configuration and deployment and a hunger to both share your knowledge, develop yourself, and find new solutions to the challenges of DevOps.

You take people on the journey with you - lead by example with an engaging style and energy that people trust and believe in. You are able to instil confidence through your extensive technical knowledge and experience.

You’re a bit of a Geek - you understand and are passionate about technology particularly Chef, Packer, Docker, Bamboo, VMWare or similar products. Your knowledge spans the bridge between infrastructure and application development. At home you’ve got some kit that you experiment on, you’re generally playing with the latest stuff, finding out where it fits in the world and how it might make life at work easier.

Collaborative & Articulate - you are able to work effectively in and around Scrum Teams, understanding all sides of a problem and working through to solutions in a fast-paced delivery environment
