2083 - Marketing Manager - B2B - £28-32k - SW London - Perm

Our client is a B2B online media, magazine publishing and conferences/events business based in South West London.

This role will report directly to the Managing director while working very closely with individuals across the business in client services and sales, and content and production teams.

They are looking to hire an experienced and commercially focused marketing and communications manager to the business.

Working across the core brands you will be responsible for creating and delivering a content led engagement strategy that meets the businesses commercial and engagement goals. Each brand contains a range of products all of which are targeted at a diverse b2b audience.

This role represents a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial and creative marketer to build and deliver a marketing programme from the ground up.

Marketing and communications

Developing and implementing a marketing plan across the business for all products and services

Developing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple products and brands

Identifying target audience for specific products and services and producing comprehensive marketing programme across multiple platforms ie email, direct mail, phone, social media, partnerships etc

Agreeing campaign timelines with stakeholders internally.

Managing campaigns effectively

Building email templates for all activities.

Working with stakeholders on production of all marketing materials and literature, ensuring brand consistency and messaging is maintained

Involved in preparation of all event/activity materials

Working closely with digital content and marketing executive on promotion all activities via the businesses social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and any others deemed relevant

Providing feedback to the business and management team on individual campaign success, areas to improve and develop

Building and managing audience surveys on behalf of clients for report/research projects. Also conducting audience/community surveys to help formulate strategy and new ideas

Negotiating contra deals, alliances and media partnerships with external associations to support awareness of products and services, particularly conferences

Attending networking events and also other industry events

Assisting managing director with organizing and hosting ah-hoc events/activities

Project work relating to marketing systems and solutions, ensuring the business has the right technology and tools to deliver its goals

Data management

Overall responsibility for the Salesforce database ensuring that data integrity is maintained to the highest level

Be responsible for identifying gaps in database, maintaining data quality and working with the team to grow the database around relevant segments

Assisting with in-house training for all staff on Salesforce best practices and policies


Responsible for main website and any subsequent websites built for specific brands

Main point of contact for external digital agency including design and development, bug fixes and any other requirements

With the support of Digital content and marketing exec, monitoring website performance using Google analytics and making suggestions for SEO and PPC campaigns

Training internal staff on website 'best practice’ and use


You’ll be a pro-active B2B marketer

You’ll have a solid track record of online and offline marketing

You’ll need a sound understanding of data and email campaign management and automation.

Website project management is also highly desirable.

CIM qualification is preferred (or studying towards)
