Our client NEEDS YOU!!! You have extensive experience in Business Development or Sales in the insurance industry. You have generated a substantial amount of revenue in new business at a senior level. You love the challenge of sales and targets and may even specialise in niche sectors of the commercial insurance market such as motor sport.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced successful candidate to join a forward thinking commercial insurance broker as a Business Development Executive. Our client is keen to move the business forward and to expand its portfolio of commercial business by employing YOU to provide bespoke risk management and insurance solutions, specifically tailored to meet the individual needs of a diverse client base.

You will ideally bring with you an existing book of business that you can build upon, as well as seeking other new business opportunities.

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Successful management, retention and development of key clients and associated relationships

  • Understand new and existing Client’s business and their approach to insurance and risk

    management and to design and administer insurance solutions for the protection of their material assets and liabilities

  • Deliver against renewal retention and sales targets and build a profitable book of business

  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of development opportunities

  • To seek new business in line with company objectives and personal targets

  • To maintain, and achieve growth in income from existing clients

  • Negotiate competitive terms and conditions with underwriting markets

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Previous experience of the Commercial Insurance industry.

  • Extensive experience in a senior Account Management, Business Development or Sales role in the Insurance industry.

  • Experience of fulfilling all administrative and financial activities, including the successful management of existing accounts and implementation of new business.
