Mission 4 Recruitment is an independent, boutique style Recruitment Consultancy that has been based in Hertford for nearly 14 years. Over that time, we have built up an enviable client base of local businesses, some of which have used us since we opened in 2003.

Last year (2016) was our most profitable and successful year ever, so we want to continue building on this success by enhancing our team with someone with strong business development and face to face sales experience. There is a degree of flexibility here as we would consider someone on a full or part time basis - it really depends on the individual. At present, we work in a close-knit team environment that is both fun yet hardworking and results orientated.

The ideal person might have worked in Recruitment previously but didn’t particularly enjoy the 'recruiting’ side of the role, and would prefer to concentrate on sales only.

Purpose of the Role:

You will be responsible for growing our existing client base through sales and marketing activity. This will also turn into a semi account management role for some of the clients brought on, however, the focus is predominately New Business.

Duties will include:

  • Business development - bringing on new clients within the Commercial and Supply Chain sectors

  • Outbound calling to potential clients

  • Database cleansing - obtaining the correct contact information

  • Sending out marketing information and following these up with introduction calls

  • Gain a good understanding of competitor activity

  • Work closely with the Consultants and Resourcers to keep up to date with market intelligence

  • Visiting clients at their offices

  • Provide support with bids and tenders

  • Contract negotiation

  • Working to strict targets and KPIs

    The Ideal Person

  • Proven track record in sales and business development -preferably someone who has sold a service in a B2B environment

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Extremely professional

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications

  • Self motivated and focused on the end goal

  • Has the desire to succeed

  • Able to manage their own time effectively

  • Car owner/driver
