Nursery Room Leader

- Full Time
An opportunity to join a great team in a lovely working environment. If you are a nice caring person and have energy, imagination and commitment you could well be the one for us, but please be sure you fit the criteria.
We are a fairly large nursery with an excellent local reputation and we work hard to maintain our standards. That means we are a demanding employer, when it comes to staff performance, yet we find that good staff are happier with this than working for a more slap dash operation that wants less from you and cares less about their children. We know this by the number of staff that have left over the years, for various reasons, yet want to come back to us later having been disappointed with jobs elsewhere. So we must be doing something right.
We try to provide good staff facilities and working conditions and you will find the Owner and Managers always on the premises with an open door to you. We operate a generous bonus scheme which allows you to increase your salary by up to £1850, just by coming to work.
There is regular training given and we support, encourage, and facilitate your continued professional development. All our staff are first aid qualified, the training for which we supply. Many of our staff have worked for us for many years, some developing a career, some happier to stay within the room, so whatever you are looking for, we can probably satisfy you.
Naturally you will have at least an NVQ 3 or equivalent with a thorough working knowledge of the EYFS and experience as a Room Leader or higher. You may also have QTS or EYPS and if so, we will give you the opportunity to use it. You will need to be a good team manager, leading by example with the quality and skills to motivate your staff to maintain our high standards in a relaxed yet caring atmosphere to avoid personal discord and foster a happy committed team spirit.
If English is not your first language (and even if it is) we will want you to have a good grasp of the written and spoken language in order to communicate well with children, parents and staff as well as be able to write adequate observations and reports etc.
What's more important, we will be looking for a genuine caring attitude from people with a desire to work with children who enjoy their interaction. You will also need to be a team player, able to take direction, yet also be self motivated and work on your own initiative to organise and implement the planning.
The salary will be £18,406 including the monthly bonus which will be up to £1850 per annum subject only to regular attendance.
If you can answer "Yes" to the questions below and this all sounds like you, come and take care of our children whilst we take care of you.
