IT Support Engineer

Amersham, Buckinghamshire

to £24,000

Hours of work Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm and 9:30am-6pm

Joining a small but expanding IT team, the role is based in Little Chalfont, near Amersham, but will on occasion require travel to various UK sites.

This is a full hands-on support role, primarily first-line, working across a number of areas including deskside support, basic networking, servers, remote workers, telephony and security. In addition responsibilities will include Installing/configuring/maintaining hardware such as PCs, laptops, and tablets, and software and applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience gained within a fast paced environment such as a Service Desk or Managed Service Provider role.

Experience in desktop and serving operating systems including Windows, 7, 8 & 10 and Windows Server 2008, 2012 and related best practices for patch management is preferred, as is an excellent working knowledge of TCPIP, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory, and experience ideally of one major telephony provider ( Mitel / Avaya ). Useful, though not essential is to have experience of installing and configuring NHS systems such as SystmOne/EMIS.

Academically, a qualification in a computing related subject is preferred.
