Inspiration Holidays is a long haul, tailor made tour operator specialising in complex multi centre itineraries across the Far East, Australia, Africa and North America. We will soon be opening a retail unit on Lamb’s Conduit Street WC1, featured by the Guardian as number 1 on their list of the top 5 little shopping streets in London. The street, where Charles Dickons was a local has fiercely fought to keep the retail units on the street boutique, independent and upmarket and the area has been described by Time Out as "perfect place to retire after a trip to the British Museum", and "an excellent alternative to the West End for after-work drinks".

Our retail unit is to be fitted out to mimic an airline/hotel executive lounge. Our travel experts at this location will act as professional consultants, sharing their travel experience and providing advice to our clients to build the perfect itinerary. Each client that visits us will be spend at least 45 minutes with us and the vast majority of these appointments will result in a confirmed booking. The average booking value is £7,000 (£3,500/ person) and our gross profit margin is 22%.

What we are looking for

We are looking for the most gifted and skilled staff in the travel industry, and we are prepared to offer the best remuneration package in the industry to attract that talent. Our travel experts will have a broad and varied experience working within the travel industry and will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of a variety of long haul travel destinations. Our travel experts will not just know travel- they will be passionate about it and will have travelled extensively within the last 10 years. We expect our applicants to have outstanding communication skills, the ability to sell with a consultative rather than overbearing approach and most importantly the ability to inspire our clients so that they choose to trust us with their holiday experience.

What you can expect

Solicitors, accountants and management consultants are all financially rewarded for the expert knowledge they offer their clients in their individual specialist areas. We believe that expertise in travel should be no different. In addition to a basic salary of up to £40,000 we will pay our travel experts up to 10% commission on the gross profit they generate every month. With an average of 12 bookings per travel expert per month and an average booking value of £7,000, our travel experts should earn at least an additional £1,850/month. As our entire brand value rests on the expertise of our travel experts, we invest heavily in ensuring their destination and product knowledge is at the top of the industry. Accordingly, our experts will be spend at least 3 weeks each year travelling to our core destinations on familiarisation trips.

Working times

Our retail unit will be open on an appointment only basis from 8am - 8pm from Monday to Friday. Our offices underneath the retail unit will be open from 9am - 6pm on Saturdays to take any follow up calls from our clients. You will be working 40 hours per week - usually between 8am - 5pm but on occasion from 11am - 8pm. You will also be expected to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays.
