UKTD is one of the UK’s leading training providers delivering Apprenticeships in the workplace is expanding its team and is looking for a Training Consultant/Assessor to cover Herts, Beds, Bucks and Essex. Based from home, you will visit learners and employers in the workplace to teach, train and assess learners in a variety of areas such as Functional Skills, Customer Service, Business Admin, Team Leading and Management.

Generic Assessor

  • Assess, support and develop learners to gain recognised qualifications
  • Assist in the recruitment, induction and assessment of learners as required

  • Plan and deliver apprenticeships including functional skills (Maths, English and ICT) to level 2, ERR, PLTS and a vocational qualification

  • Prepare and review session plans, schemes of work and teaching and learning materials to meet individual learning needs

  • Embed Equality and Diversity in the curriculum

  • Assess and record learners’ work and cross reference the standards through Functional Skills criteria

  • Carry out observations, assessment planning and evidence collection

  • Prepare learners for examinations to gain the appropriate qualifications

  • Continually monitor and review learners’ progress and support through visits

  • Manage own caseloads within timely completion rate as required by the assessment and verification processes

  • Ensure appropriate quality assurance systems and procedures are complied with at all times

  • Use OneFile to communicate with learners, monitor progress and capture evidence

  • Plan and co-ordinate training, resources and support to enable learners to achieve their qualifications

  • Monitor attendance, punctuality and progress whilst building portfolios with learners

  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork in line with procedures and awarding bodies

  • Offer IAG on further learning and progression opportunities

  • Promote courses to potential learners and employers

  • Assist in meeting company targets, retention, progression and achievement of all learners

  • Act on feedback from observations from teaching and learning and internal and external verifying visits

  • 2-3 years solid experience of assessing at both levels 2 and 3

  • Experience with assessing in Business Admin, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management up to Level 3

  • Building and developing relationships with employers

  • Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the SFA, department and programme targets
