Product Manager - FinTech - Bishops Stortford - £48,000 to £58,000

Our client, a Global Telecoms/Financial Technology Company specialising in providing services for mobile operators worldwide, is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join their rapidly expanding organisation.

As the Product Manager, you will be the "go to" person for all domain information, prioritise requirements, defects, and other work items for the team, and provides timely information and decisions. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Product Backlog and be an active participant in the customer testing process. The Product Manager will also facilitate requirement modelling sessions, including requirements envisioning. The role includes line management of a team of 3 Business Analysts and will involve objective setting as well as training & development.

The Product Manager will also assist with the elaboration of Epics, Themes and Features into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint. You will be responsible for representing the customer to the development team and the product development to the rest of the business. On a daily basis you will participate in Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives. It will be the responsibility of the Product Manager to decide on release date, content and budget as well as accept and reject work in the sprint reviews.

Essential Skills/Experience for the Product Manager:

  • 6+ years as Product Owner/Product Manager
  • Demonstrable experience of Scrum Management
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Comfortable in making decisions and prioritise between both urgent and high importance items
  • Great attention to detail but able to see the bigger picture
  • Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills
  • Telecom Domain experience desirable
  • Oracle Apex architecture experience desirable
  • OnTime/Jira experience
  • Team management
