Solicitor Clinical negligence - Personal Injury

Our client a highly regarded law firm is currently recruiting for an experienced solicitor/legal executive to join their Personal Injury department.


The prime role of Fee Earner is to fully advise and assist Claimants in pursuit of their best interests in the conduct of any negotiations and/or Litigation relating to any clinical negligence matters together with some personal injury matters howsoever arising.

To assist the Personal Injury Partner in generating fee income by taking responsibility subject to supervision if necessary in the conduct of litigation cases on behalf of Claimants.

Main Responsibilities

*To fully advise and assist clients on legal matters relating to those areas of expertise in Personal Injury Litigation in which the fee earner has expertise.
*To undertake advocacy matters on behalf of Claimants if necessary and where appropriate and where rights of audience exist.
*To create and manage correspondence and document files for each individual client matter according to the standards laid down by the firm and other governing bodies (e.g. Law Society)
*Supervise secretarial and other support staff assigned to carry out support tasks in pursuit of the overall aim.
*Supervise other Fee Earners in matters of Law, File Management and Quality within agreed areas of specialism.
*Develop and Maintain relationships with Claimants and with other professional bodies.
*Keep abreast of all developments in the law relating to subjects in which the fee earner has expertise.
*To fully co-operate with other litigation team members and other members of the firm generally together with the legal community as a whole with the aim of furthering the high quality professional service for Claimants and the community.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

*Experience of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury work
*Excellent communications skills;
*In depth knowledge of the law in individual's area of specialisation;
*Self-motivated, organised with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
*Ability to stay calm under pressure;
