Business Development Manager (Retail)
Baobab Sales Recruitment are looking for a business development manager who specialises in recruitment to sell technology and research services into FMCG and Retailers nationwide. Retail Sales experience is a MUST.
As a proven Business Development Manager you will join their growing sales team and the role will be based at the Head Office in Southampton although extensive national travel will be expected in line with Retail Prospects.
You will have experience selling high value solutions to FTSE and key corporates in the UK and your day to day role will involve working closely with account directors, marketing and product teams driving revenue acquisition will ensure that the business goals are achieved.
Duties & Accountabilities
Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities from new accounts.
Establish and execute a comprehensive strategic and operational sales plan for each target account.
Continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintain on Salesforce.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of all solutions for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.
Analyse potential opportunities and develop sales strategies for each customer account. Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to customer.
Monitor actions and results against plans.
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within an account and develop deep knowledge of the customer organisation.
Create meeting opportunities with new accounts to propose and present solutions.
Write compelling proposals and deliver impressive presentations to new accounts
Continually identifying new prospects and entering on CRM database ensuring correct organisations and decision makers are being targeted
Network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities
Social media savvy with an established online professional profile
Understands the process and philosophy of Sales
Builds rapport easily and can demonstrate a solid networking process
Has the confidence and gravitas to engage with senior business figures
Demonstrates a continuous improvement mentality
Has a good knowledge of the professional business values and sets a good example to others.
Positive / can do and understands how to plan time effectively and able to work remotely
Self-motivated, proactive, positive and committed to business success.
