A worldwide provider of business software solutions to industry, due to massive growth are now looking for an additional entry level Junior or Graduate IT Systems Technician to join their existing technical services team based in Peterborough.

Reporting into the Technical Services Manager, the role will entail the installation, configuration of software applications including customising and testing software modules in line with the customer requirements, creating live and test databases, proactively suggest improvements to both the software and the implementation procedure as well as provide both telephone and remote support to customers in a professional, timely and effective manner and manage these queries through to resolution as well as escalate unresolved problems where required.

Our client is looking for candidates who are IT Graduates or entry level IT Trainees who possess a qualification within Computing, Software Engineering, Information Systems or an equivalent subject and can demonstrate an understanding of databases such as MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, MySQL, Access or Oracle databases; possess basic SQL programming experience and / or writing queries in T-SQL / SQL, basic programming skills in Visual Studio (C#.Net/VB.Net) or similar along with a good all round basic understanding of Windows operating systems and networking.

Our client is looking for customer focused individuals who live within daily commuting distance of Peterborough and can demonstrate good communication skills, both written & verbal with the ability to liaise with customers at all levels, maintaining good customer relations as well as work both on their own and as part of a team.

This position is offering a salary in the region of £18,000 - £22,000 + Bonus together with contributory pension, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, death in service benefit and childcare vouchers.
