Media Sales Executive

£25,000-£27,000 + uncapped commission

Fantastic opportunity for a talented media sales executive to step up into a cross-platform media sales role selling bespoke solutions across digital, print and awards.

Company:

International media business with market leading brands across publishing and events.

Our client has grown immensely, from publishing one magazine quarterly to running the industry’s biggest trade shows, niche conferences and networking events, four magazines, annual supplier directories and a host of digital advertising opportunities which are in high demand and growing.

An opportunity has arisen to join as a media sales executive within their Gaming, Sport and Media division.

Role:
The media sales executive role will involve a mix of key account management and the need to acquire new business. The ability to cross sell and upsell on multiple products is essential for this role and the successful candidate will focus on all areas of the business (digital and print advertising as well as event sponsorship and awards).

The media sales executive will enjoy being part of a successful and very close-knit team and a company highly respected and established in their market. The candidate can expect to work on a number of varied projects, must be strong networkers, regular business travel abroad, a realistic and achievable uncapped commission structure and the backing of a successful public company.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Cross-selling on multiple products (such as Events, Print & Online) and grow the revenue streams of each
  • Account Management of Existing Clients and up-selling wherever possible
  • Exploring new opportunities to help grow the business
  • Networking for new business at industry events

Candidate Profile:

This role is ideal for an ambitious, energetic sales person with a minimum of one 6 months B2B sales experience behind them ideally within media sales. They must be dedicated and self-motivated and must be able to work closely within a team, and also take the initiative and ownership of their own work.
The successful candidate will be balancing multiple projects, multiple targets and multiple deadlines, they must be extremely organised and have excellent time-management skills. Strong account management skills with a commercial angle are essential within these roles with a strong emphasis in adopting a consultative sales approach.

This role requires a confident, eloquent, personable individual with a natural networking ability. An out-going, energetic and sociable personality is a must as is a good work ethic. The ability to develop an initial rapport with people and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients is crucial.
