The Re-worker/Assembler Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Re-worker/Assembler to join arapidly expanding, and successful team. If you are self-motivated, comfortable working in a fast pacedenvironment, with proven experience in electronic assembly andre-working, then we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities of the Re-worker/Assembler: - Make an assessment of the correct method to use for each itemrequiring rework - Set up the rework process to produce the optimum result - Using either an existing set up a new rework procedure to repair aPCBA if needed - Minimise the possibility for damage to the components or PCBA - Be responsible for providing guidance to other less experiencedoperators on rework methods & techniques - Provide training to other staff on any special techniques used torework an assembly - Follow all quality procedures that cover rework & repair - Ensure all rework equipment is kept in good condition and is serviceable - To keep to date with the latest rework technologies through readingjournals, attending training courses on rework techniques - Work efficiently and to the timescales required of you - Record the details of items reworked and the processes used - Seek customer approval for the rework required for specified PCBAsthrough the quality dept Skills & Experience Required: - Excellent soldering skills to the IPC-C-610 standard and reworkskills to IPC-7711/7721 including Printed Circuit assembly (PCBA) trackrepair skills - Good knowledge of electronic components, their types and values frommarkings or codes and how they should be reworked in an assembly - Confident in the operation of all SMT rework equipment in line withmanufactures guidelines ensuring the minimum of any damage to PCBs andcomponents during rework operations. This includes a BGA rework station - Keep clear records of items reworked and the process used to reworkthem In return, the Re-worker/Assembler can expect a competitive salary, andgood benefits package.
