Permanent RequirementConfiguration and Change ManagerVenn Group is working with a Higher Education Organisation who is looking for an ICT Configuration & Change Manager to join their ICT Department on a permanent basis.Salary: £36k- £42k (+ London Weighting)Location: LondonThe successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and managing the Configuration Management System and managing the Change Process
  • Analysing information from the ICT Service Desk and CMS and reporting on incident & trend analysis
  • Auditing the quality of data entered into the ICT Service Desk and CMS by ICT staff to ensure that a high standard of data accuracy is maintained
  • Defining the scope of the information that is to be recorded and developing the system in accordance with the ICT Services Management Team and in line with ITIL standards
  • Managing the full lifecycle of all ICT assets (request fulfilment, procurement, security tagging, recording in the CMDB, deployment, retiring and disposal)
  • Identifying and providing training and supervision to ICT staff in the correct use of the ICT Service Desk and CMS
  • Deputising for the Service Development Manager when required
  • Leading on all internal audits of ICT assets and data quality of the ICT Service Desk and CMDB, providing information and assistance where external third-party audits require
  • Chairing meetings (CAB) that review & approve proposed changes to the support environment, ensuring that ITIL best practice guidelines are followed and maintained

The successful candidate will have:

  • ITIL certification to intermediate level (V3 preferably)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of developing ICT Configuration Management Systems
  • Good experience of ICT service management process development, implementation, automation and documentation
  • Experience of using Service Management Tools, and designing/implementing tool changes, in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Service Management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Visio applications
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed, and relevant records of achievement
  • Proven ability to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Good time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a Higher Education Organisation is highly desirable
