We manufacture and provide precision viscosity instruments to a wide range of industries worldwide.

As Field Service Engineer reporting into our Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing workshop and on-site calibration and certification, repair and IQOQPQ for laboratory instruments and accessories to our customers in the UK. Working on-site at customer facilities when required, you’ll liaise closely with sales management and Sales Engineers, contacting customers to schedule on-site field service visits and provide quotations. You’ll instruct customers on the features and benefits of our instruments, working with them to increase their understanding and use of Brookfield instrumentation, analysing their needs to match to provide the right instrument. Other key accountabilities as Field Service Engineer will include:

  • customer training
  • supporting training of Brookfield Export Dealer personnel.

Qualified at least to HNC/HND level in a relevant discipline, you must have a proven track record in on-site service/commissioning within technical support. Highly experienced in customer service, you’re strong on basic IT, network administration and fault-finding on electronic systems. Your high level of self-motivation complements good prioritising skills and your ability to work well under pressure. Readily able to analyse and rapidly solve complex problems, you’re a great trouble-shooter with a passion for problem-solving and investigation. You can also offer:

  • the ability to communicate technically with people at all levels, both in writing and verbally
  • first-class team-working skills
  • a full, clean UK driving licence and the willingness to travel approx. 50% of the time.
