This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, dynamic company. They are currently seeking an experienced Development Engineering Manager who will further strengthen their team based in Barnsley.

The Development Engineer Manager is responsible for the leadership of the engineering department involved in the design and development of turbocharger components and assemblies. The position involves leading a team of development engineers with overall responsibility for the delivery of a high volume of New Products through the full development cycle from conception to completion (on the shelf) and post-launch analysis.

The successful candidate will be qualified to Degree level in an associated engineering discipline or have extensive experience in engineering NPD within the automotive industry

It is essential that candidates have:
- A background in Engineering and product development
- Experience in NPD operations including design, verification & validation
- Competence in planning and executing development testing
- Knowledge of precision measurement and general engineering principles
- A track record of building and leading an engineering team
- Experience of implementing appropriate controls to direct, measure and adjust operations as required to meet the NPD requirements of the business
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Solid Works and/or AutoCAD
- Leader and team player who recognises the importance of his team and the wider business team
- Excellent people management skills

Furthermore, it would be advantageous to have a background in automotive engineering and previous experience developing turbochargers or engine components.
