My client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their expanding organisation in Kerry. This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast paced high availability environment and you will be working with leading technologies.

What your role will involve:
Maintain Windows OS environment - Server OS & Clients, AD, Exchange - updates and patching.
Maintain data backup processes & retention cycles including disaster recovery strategies.
Liaise with third party service providers for some IT systems infrastructure components.
Configuration of LAN & WAN networking with fault tolerance and secure communications.
Virtual infrastructure management and administration.
Assist in systems analysis, research, design and testing.
Evaluating security practices, and maintain environment to required industry standard specification.

Skills required:
At least 4-5 years experience in a similar networking role
Management of a TCP/IP based network environment - switch, router & firewall config
Experience of administration of Cisco ASA model range of firewalls.
Cisco LAN/WAN technologies (Cisco certification is an advantage).
A high degree of competency in Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange technologies
Knowledge and experience of Windows Server 2003/8, Active Directory, Exchange 2007/2010, MS ISA and Forefront Firewall, SMTP Mail filtering.
Management of an IP Telephony environment & associated network configuration.
User support across a large number of business critical applications.
Development of formal systems maintenance and auditing procedures.
Knowledge of networked storage - iSCSI SANs, NAS storage systems.
Experience with IPSec, and inter-site VPNs.
Knowledge of virtualisation products, specifically VMware ESXi and VSphere.
Experience of Enterprise class multi-stage backup solutions using Commvault software.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or other equivalent experience. Certifications such as MCSE, CNE, MSP, CCNA, CCNP or similar certifications would be advantageous.
