Senior Linux administrator with networking skills

My Citywest based client is looking for an experienced Linux administrator with networking skills to join their expanding and well established organisation. 80% of the role will be linux based and 20% networking based. This company is committed to developing their staff and providing you with the opportunity to learn and develop your skill sets across different areas.

* Shell scripting plus one other scripting language (Perl / Python / etc.)
* Apache and Tomcat or JBoss configuration and management
* Linux networking (bonding/aliasing/routing)
* Network service configuration and management (DNS/NTP/SMTP/HTTPD)
* Securing of Linux servers
o Network security (IPTables, TCPWrappers, secure SSHD configuration, minimizing network service footprint)
o Server hardening (Kernel tuning, file and binary permission reviewing, user management)
* Supporting DBA's in performing their duties (Oracle / MySQL)
* An understanding of the Linux Kernel, runlevels, processes and filesystems
* An understanding of how to compile software (i.e. Apache), and when to do so
* Linux backup software / utilities (Bacula / RSync)
* Experience debugging obscure issues using tools such as strace and tcpdump

Nice to haves but not essential:
* San installation and management
* Experience with highly available Linux solutions - Linux HA (for use with Apache and other services)
* Securing Apache / Tomcat and JBoss (Mod Security etc)
* Administering and configuring VMWare Virtual Infrastructures

An excellent salary of between €50,000 and €60,000 plus benefits is on offer. Citywest is easily accessible from the M50, the luas goes direct to it and there is ample parking available. Interviews will be straight away as this is an urgent requirement.
