Scientific Information Co-ordinator - South Bucks

Star is looking for someone to join a global pharmaceutical company that provides innovative products and services in more than 20 countries around the world. As a Scientific Information Coordinator with some industry experience you will:

1 Provide an effective and high-quality medical information service to external and internal customers

* Deal with all enquiries in an accurate, timely and appropriate manner providing realistic deadlines
* Work in collaboration with the European Medical Information function to ensure consistency and alignment in communication of medical information
* Provision of product-related, clinical advice to sales and marketing teams
* Copy review responsibility for promotional and non-promotional materials
* Active member of brand team working closely with marketing and sales to ensure strategic alignment
* Formulate standard letters for the product range with primary focus on the key promoted products

1 Undertake administrative tasks for the Medical department at the request of the Medical Director

* Maintenance of Regulatory and Pharmacovigilance (PV) files on and off-site
* Liaise effectively with all other departments in the company to reflect the "customer focus" values of the Medical department

1 Nominated Deputy Local Safety Officer

* Receive and assess adverse event reports and follow up with the reporter if additional information is required
* Send the completed case report to Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance at DSE within stipulated regulatory timelines
* Maintain accurate documentation relating to Adverse Events
* Carries out reconciliation with DSE in order to ensure compliance with PV legal framework
* Write and send communications on PV and Regulatory updates/issues to head office and field based teams as and when required
* Receive and assess Product Defect Reports, develops response and sends to DSE, appropriate manufacturers and customers
* Proofread SMPCs and PILs to ensure compliance with safety data

Requirements:

* Degree in life sciences and or postgraduate qualification
* Working knowledge of MHRA and IMB regulations and European GDP and PV legislation
* Experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry in a PV role
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
* Confident and professional communication style
* Working knowledge of ABPI, MHRA codes of practice and PV legislation
* Previous experience of working in regulatory/clinical/medical information pharmaceutical environment
* Experience with Zinc copy approval system
* Thorough knowledge of ABPI, IPHA, MHRA, EFPIA and PhARMA Code of Practice
