Person specification - Learning and Behaviour Mentor

To be successful in this role you must be a recent graduate who is keen to pursue a career in education. All degree disciplines will be accepted. This role requires a confident and professional individual who can built positive relationships with secondary school pupils. You will be required to work with pupils, teachers and senior leaders so good communication is key. You will have an understanding and empathetic approach to understand each individual pupil best.

About the role

This exciting role will see you join the schools inclusion department. Pupils may be required to leave their lesson either through causing disruption in the classroom or other reasons. As a Learning and Behaviour Mentor you will work with the pupil to understand their needs and remove any barriers to learning. Pupils at this school come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, some may have social and emotional difficulties or special educational needs. You will be provided with excellent training and support from the school and have the opportunity to work alongside other talented graduates.
