In 2015, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital became a single Foundation Trust. Band 8b Lead Nurse for Sexual Health & Dermatology - Chelsea and Westminster HospitalThe HIV, Sexual Health and Dermatology Directorate are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative team player to help lead our Sexual Health and Dermatology services through the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with inspirational leadership skills and an appetite for developing staff and delivering safe and excellent patient care to join the team in one of the UKs most successful and progressive NHS Foundation Trusts. The Directorate is very successful and has an excellent reputation. The Sexual Health departments are located at both hospital sites and within community settings and are renowned nationally and internationally for their innovative, high tech services. The Dermatology department receives great patient feedback and consists of an outpatients setting, day care and close links with an inpatient ward. The Directorate strives to improve outcomes and experience for patients by continuing to support innovation across our full range of activities.The post holder will work with the senior management team in the directorate providing senior advice, support and strategic leadership, along with professional challenge. Working closely with the General Manager, Clinical Director and the Divisional Head of Nursing the successful candidate will represent nursing at both a directorate and divisional level. The Lead Nurse for Sexual Health & Dermatology role will directly report to the General Manager and will professionally report to the Divisional Head of Nursing. Working closely with the General Manager and the Divisional Head of Nursing, the Lead Nurse for Sexual Health & Dermatology will ensure the operational and strategic plans for nursing and the wider directorate are delivered, including delivery against the Trust and Divisional quality priorities and the governance agenda.You will have had demonstrable success in a management and a clinical role within Sexual Health and bring outstanding leadership and management skills. You will be able to establish your credibility with multiple stakeholders and enjoy being part of an ambitious, high performing team. Most of all, you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the Trust’s values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working.Informal visits are highly recommended, however will only be arranged for successfully shortlisted candidates.Candidates should be available for interviews on Friday 15th December 2017; this will consist of an assessment centre followed by formal interview.
