Marketing & Communications Assistant
Pencoed, Bridgend
Salary: £20,000-£23,000
Working Hours: Full time
Status: Permanent

What our client wants from their Marketing and Communications Assistant:
To support the team in the development and delivery of a robust marketing strategy in line with the growth aspirations of the business. The Marketing and Communications Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of the company's marketing strategy by acting as the primary facilitator between various departments, customers, suppliers and their outsourced marketing & PR partners.

The type of person they're looking for:
Ideally degree qualified, you will also have around 2 years' experience within a marketing environment. As well as excellent attention for detail and project management skills you must also be able to work and thrive within a dynamic team environment that is innovative and progressive.
Your love for creativity should also be balanced with an analytical awareness that measures success to ensure the best use of resources.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the production and delivery of marketing material in line with the marketing plan.
  • Monitor and review the delivery and impact of marketing material and the performance of suppliers.
  • Update company website with relevant marketing initiatives and/or produce suitable content for web developer to post.
  • Working closely with company PR partners and manage their social media strategy and content.
  • Undertake research into customer satisfaction (surveys, feedback forms etc.) and new or emerging markets.
  • Coordinate and support delivery of company customer events.
  • Manage expenditure in line with relevant budget(s).
  • Identify new marketing opportunities and produce proposals to support the growth of the company.
  • Manage the delivery of training events by their procurement department for external clients.

  • Strategic thinker.
  • Excellent verbal & written presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand & utilise facts / market data to support written material.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure hands-on environment.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office.
