Area Sales Manager / Engineer


South West region:

Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, South coast (as far up atWeston-super-Mare cutting across to Bournemouth and everything West of that)


£40,000 with an expected OTE of around £48,000-£50,000


·1% commission on all turnover with no cap

·£2000 annual bonus paid on achieving agreed KPI’s

·Dinner allowance of up to £10.00 per day

·Company pension (employer 10%, employee 5% of base salary)

The Role:

·Optimal customer service together with their internal sales team

·Market investigation in terms of products and distribution systems

·Competitor analysis

·A challenging task with extensive decision making responsibilities

·Intensive initial training due to a training program at their branches in Germany and at their suppliers


·It is essential to currently or have recently worked for a cutting tool manufacturer or distributor in a field sales role

·A strong individual who works well under pressure, possess good knowledge of a variety of different cutting tools and currently in a sales role

·This is an outstanding and stable opportunity within a rapidly expanding organisation and are few and far between within today’s industry

·Personal as well as professional skills needed to be an Area Sales Manager

·A recognised technical education (craftsman/technician/engineer/ machine tool fitter) or machining specialist with commercial know-how

·Able to prove an outstanding sales track record and at least five years’ work experience in the field with pertinent contacts to industry and/or handcraft

·Customer focused and business fluent

·A sense of responsibility, organisational ability and a “passion to perform”

·Based within the sales area or regionally flexible

·Able to take on challenging tasks with extensive decision making responsibilities
