PR and Social Media Coordinator

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to work cross-functionally within a marketing department and expand their skillset/ knowledge. Working in marketing team, you will be covering four areas of the business; social media, PR, crisis management, and charity.

Your role will include:

General

  • Producing monthly board reports
  • Sharing successes with internal communications
  • Supporting the marketing team to ensure all campaigns are covered on social media and PR in necessary
  • New Year planning
  • Managing and keeping with budgets
  • Utilising your areas to support business objectives and achieve ROI
  • Support the marketing team where necessary and always bring new ideas to the table


Social media

  • Management on monthly paid and organic content plans, schedules and posting on 5 mydentist social media channels.
  • Managing social media agency to ensure monthly paid activity is campaign led and achieves strong ROI
  • Working with authorised practices on their social media pages
  • Acting as a gatekeeper for the mydentist brand on social media


PR & crisis

  • Working with our PR agency and practices to maximise on any business activities and campaigns
  • Supporting Clinical Marketing Manager with trade PR schedule and arranging interviews/ articles


Charity

  • Working alongside mydentist account managers to ensure fundraising targets are met through business wide fundraising
  • Working with charity committee to ensure campaigns are briefed and approved by relevant departments
  • Ensure all campaigns and materials are on brand


This role would suit someone with an extensive knowledge of social media and its functions; they will enjoy writing and will have a creative mindset. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and will work very well under pressure, juggling daily, weekly and monthly schedules whilst doing a lot of ad hoc/ reactive work also.

Journalism/ marketing/ social media degree is ideal and candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of PR and social media and will have excellent writing skills.
