Somerset Pay Spine Grade 14 Points 13 -17 (£14,009 - £15,097) Monday to Friday - Term time only - 37 hours per week.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Early Years Centre (EYC) at Manor Court Pre-school team at Chard.

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy EYC Supervisor.

As Deputy EYC Supervisor, you will assist the Early Years Centre Supervisor with the management of the Early Years Centre, leading the team of staff and ensuring the highest standard of care and safety of the children. You will be involved in providing a dynamic, active learning environment for the children on a day-to-day basis.

You will be aware of and comply with the EYFS. Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children in the EYC at all times is essential. In the absence of the EYC Supervisor, you will assume responsibility for the daily operation of the EYC with agreed plans and budgets.

This is a full time role working 37 hours per week term time only. 8am to 4pm hour for lunch

To be considered for this role it is essential that you will have: A recognised childcare/Early Years qualification at a Level 3 minimum (or equivalent), for example this may be BTEC, NNEB, CACHE Diploma or NVQ. Ideally, you will also have at least 3 years post qualification experience within an early years setting and a management qualification at NVQ level 3.

Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
