Peritus Healthcare are pleased to consider applications for the position of Physiotherapist in Hertford.
The service is purpose built and designed to provide residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for the elderly.
Our client has built a very strong reputation for providing excellence in nursing and dementia care locally.
You will be responsible for the implementation and continuation of physiotherapy programmes identified in customer person centred plans.
The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The management of patients in your care and the maintenance of documentation to national physio standards
To provide assessments, goal setting, treatments and evaluations for patients with a wide range of complex physical, sensory and cognitive problems.
To provide clinical supervision and in service training to therapy assistants, nurses and carers
To represent and promote the specialist roles of the MDT including involvement in service planning and development.
To arrange and ensure follow through on the assessment of therapy needs for people with varying types/degrees of disabilities and the development, implementation and evaluation of goal-based programmes of therapy for all Service Users
To be responsible for the safe and competent use of therapy equipment including the hydrotherapy pool through teaching, training and practice.
To look after the hydrotherapy pool area and ensure maintenance and upkeep of the pool, equipment, and area – working with the Facilities team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of physiotherapy theory and best practice, being able to demonstrate effective physiotherapy practice in all qualified procedures.
Able to work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the service.
Good communication skills
