Basic Salary: up to £53,000 pa

The role

To deliver a robust ICT infrastructure supporting all relevant channels of our business.

To ensure strategies are in place to provide a secure environment for data and systems.

To ensure appropriate disaster recovery and business continuity plans are documented and tested.

To advise the Chief Executive in developing and implementing ICT strategy.

To obtain and maintain appropriate external validation of our good practices (e.g. Cyber Essentials).

To ensure we comply with all relevant legislative requirements.

To manage the ICT department, staff and third-party suppliers to deliver objectives and targets for ICT.

To ensure our brand is relevant, respected and trusted by the industry it serves and by its members and employees.

Ensure that the ICT technologies, infrastructure and cloud-based services used by the are appropriate and up-to-date, including the voice and data networks and mobile phone fleetEnsure all systems, procedures and applications are documented to a high standard.Ensure that appropriate security measures are in place across all systems.Lead the configuration, management and support of all ICT systems.For new systems, manage the development process in terms of design, software production, testing, commissioning and documentationProvide technical support for staff using ICT systems and applications.Develop, implement and follow appropriate processes for incident, problem, change, release, availability, capacity and ICT service continuity managementMonitor the effectiveness of the ICT department in meeting these requirements and objectivesEnsure that DR/BCP documentation is up-to-date, and that there is at least one recovery test per annum.Work with the Chief Executive to develop ICT strategy.Lead the ICT team, including managing staff performance and appraisalsPreparing ICT budget and forecasts and monitor performance against theseManage third party support and supplier relationships and contractsEnsure that corporate software licensing is current and efficient for the group.Skills Required:

Wide range of strategic and technical ICT skills, including Windows server infrastructure, VMWare virtualization, networking and telephony.Good knowledge of ICT service management processes.Good knowledge of ICT security.Ability to manage staff, customers (internal and external) and suppliers.The ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
