Then HMP Wormwood Scrubs is a Category B men's prison, located in the Wormwood Scrubs area of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham could be the place for you to start or develop your nursing career. We have permanent full time position available, offering flexible hours Monday to Friday between 0730 and 1800, with possibility of overtime at the weekends and evening. About the Job:We are expanding our Healthcare Team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs and you could be our next team member! Are you about to qualify as a Pharmacy Technician? Or have you recently qualified as a Pharmacy Technician? Maybe you have been working as one for a while and looking to for a change! Why not try a move into Health in Justice? We are looking for qualified Dispensing Pharmacy Technicians to join our team, as we develop and implement new ways of working at the prison. We are building a team of 7.5 wte Pharmacy Technicians, who will be based on wings; as a Wing Based Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integrated member of the pharmacy team, working within the Primary Care or IDTS Nurses, leading or assisting with the administration of medications, the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service based on National policies supported with local standard operating protocols, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security. You will also be trained to deliver and undertake In-Possession Spot Checks for compliance and Meds Management reviews in the treatment rooms. You will be joining the service following a highly successful and positive HMIP/CQC Inspection for the Healthcare Service, from which we were praised highly for our improvements in practice over the last 18 months, our excellent patient centred and engaged activity and our dedicated, motivated and committed workforce. We still have some work to do, and you could join the team as we continue to grow in strength, and offer an even greater provision for our patients. About you:You will be a qualified Dispensing Technician NVQ level 3, BTEC or equivalent, either newly qualified or with experience, with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. You will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You may also have relevant post qualifying experience working within a pharmacy environment. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you! We’ll want to see evidence of your continued professional development, and a real passion for taking your skills even further. It goes without saying that you’ll have a solid understanding of health and safety, along with exemplary record keeping skills. Further job information:The salary range for this role is £22,000 to £26,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
