The Therapy Area Specialist works as part of a cross functional team and is an integral part of BI's highly skilled and high performance sales force. This role is new and it is unique in the UK.

The Role:

As a Therapy Area Specialist (TAS) you will generate clinical and commercial demand for brands in your specialist therapy area. As a clinical expert you will drive market access by engaging predominantly clinical advocates to understand the changing payer environment and through this you will ultimately drive high-quality effective and efficient patient care.

This is a highly specialised role which requires strong business acumen, entrepreneurial flair and the ability to work with both clinical and health economic data. As a TAS, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key healthcare professionals and implementing a local account plan to maximise advocacy and patient access.

The person/experience:

Experience of working in a pharmaceutical industry role as a hospital specialist.

Proven track record of sales success.

Proven ability to influence the prescribing decision-making process.

Thorough understanding of the NHS environment.

Expert knowledge of therapy area.

Current knowledge and experience of designated territory and customers.

ABPI qualification.

Degree or equivalent qualification.
