We have a vacancy for a proactive Information Officer to join our Information Governance team who will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act & Subject Access Requests. You will also contribute to the development, improvement and maintenance of associated tools and processes.
You will have experience of Data protection compliance and operations and of Records Management within the Higher Education business sector, or within a medium to large organisation. You will also have an understanding of data protection requirements and awareness of the changes to be implemented by the new General Data Protection Regulation; and possess an in-depth understanding of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, its processes and the operational experiences required to administer and comply. A professional / recognised qualification / training / certification in data protection, Records Management and Freedom of Information, or equivalent experience in a similar role is essential.
