We are looking for patient safety focused Band 5 Nurses’ with excellent communication skills to join the surgical directorate. The successful candidate will possess an enthusiasm for surgical nursing and further development of their nursing career. The Directorate consists of a Surgical Assessment Unit on ward 12 with 4 SAU assessment spaces and 9 inpatient surgical beds, a Day Care Unit with two in-patient wards for overnight care. Ward 15 which is a dual ward consisting of 39 beds in total, specialities include general surgery, colo-rectal, orthopaedic, gynaecology, vascular and breast surgery and Urology . Ward 17 is an orthopaedic ward mainly trauma/spinal injuries, also caring for ortho-geriatric patients post fractured neck of femur. We are also looking for a band 5 nurse interested in working in our busy Fracture clinic which runs 7 days a week. The wards can offer you excellent support in your new post via the Management teams and the Practice Development Nurse. The nursing teams are committed to providing high quality, safety focused, and holistic care in a warm and friendly environment.
