Unit Manger (General Nursing) - Southall - £17 p/h

Are you a Senior Nurse looking for career development or a Ward Manager looking for a new challenge? If you hold a valid nursing PIN (RGN or RMN) and have a passion for elderly care - then I have the perfect role for you!

I am currently looking for a strong leader with a nursing background to join a large elderly/dementia nursing home in Southall. The home provides care for people with a variety of needs; including elderly/frail, dementia, or other mental health needs.

As Ward Manager, you will be in charge of one of the dementia units, taking responsibility for the overall running of the ward. The home is ideally located in a quiet residential area, but is still close to transport links for anyone using public transport.

The organisation is also extremely supportive; they are not a large provider and this enables them to provide thorough guidance and advice to their homes and staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout their services.

The role is 38.5 hours a week, and would be day shifts.

As Unit manager, you will be able to:
• Assist the delegation of workloads and nursing resources
• Ensure accurate care records are kept
• Promote and maintain a high standard of care throughout the unit
• To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with supervision of trained staff, as well as providing mentorship, assessment and induction of new staff
• Conform to the latest guidelines and CQC standards

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Valid Nursing PIN (RGN or RMN)
• Experience working as a senior nurse or above

In return, my client will offer excellent career progression, an hourly rate of £17 and the opportunity to work for a highly regarded care provider.

Call me, Fiona at Amber Mace on 01904 571 177 for a chat about the role, or email your up to date CV to fiona.a.a4ljz05j3hgw@ambermace.aptrack.co.uk to be considered for this excellent opportunity.
