Rapid Response is a service provided by Barnet Intermediate Care Services (BICS) Rapid Response team, and works with the both the primary care and acute sectors to support and monitor patients at home who would otherwise be admitted to hospital. The team also prevent admission of patients in the residential and nursing homes in the borough of Barnet. We are currently looking for experienced nurse practitioner to join our team.

Candidates should be experienced, competent nurses with excellent clinical knowledge and proven experience in acute and community environments. You will need to be able to adapt to a fast moving service and possess the clinical skills and ability to work as a lone worker in a larger team. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, comprehensive clinical assessment skills and the ability to provide care as determined by clinical assessments is essential. You should have undertaken teaching and assessing qualification. You will have undertaken professional development and possess extended nursing skills such as intravenous cannulation and intravenous drug administration and have evidence to support this. Physical clinical assessment skills course, independent nurse prescriber or community practitioner prescriber are essential.

As this role requires travel within the local community you will need to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle. The teams hours of work are 8 am - 10 pm seven days a week including bank holidays. We work 2 shift 8 am - 4 pm and 2 pm - 10 pm, seven days per week.
