We encourage our residents, and their families, to be involved not only in the planning of care, but in the daily life of our comfortable and friendly care homes.Professional RequirementsSVQ Level 2 in Care is essential with a willingness to work towards achieving SVQ Level 3Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge RequiredTo have experience in care of the elderly. (Essential)Post holder will demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate and provide high care standards, and have the ability to motivate and guide fellow staff.Professionally accountable, and responsible, for the care of our elderly, and mentally infirm, residents.References and PVG Disclosure must be satisfactory, in terms of professional ability and character.ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with personal care needs.Assist residents to access and use any aids/personal equipment that is required.Assist in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents, as detailed in care plans.Assist with the monitoring of residents’ nutritional needs, in line with the care plan.Work on a rota basis, as determined by the care home manager/senior person in charge.Comply with all Health & Safety requirements, in line with current policies (including risk assessments).Undertake any training deemed necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role. Ensure that mandatory training sessions are attended, as arranged by the care home manager.Work professionally with the RN in charge, ensuring that any concerns, or problems, are reported on time.
