Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA)
Band 2

An MLA is required to work as part of the laboratory team, providing a high level of analysis in order to provide patients with the highest level of diagnosis and treatment.
To be responsible for the efficient processing of specimens and performing additional laboratory duties to ensure the efficient day to day performance of an area of the laboratory i.e. a bench, under supervision of a BMS member of staff.
Hours: - 37.5 hrs per week (Monday to Friday 37.5hrs between 09:00 and 20:00hrs some shifts 08:00-16:15, and 13:45-20:00 on rotation) Saturday / Sunday/ Bank holidays on rotation.
