TREE AID’s mission is to enable people living in the drylands of Africa to unlock the potential of trees to reduce poverty and protect the environment. Taking an integrated approach to developing businesses from non-timber forest products, better management of the environment, food security, nutrition and land rights, we help to create self-reliant communities, building not only their chances of survival but also their dignity and self-respect.
TREE AID continues to grow and expand its work across West and East Africa. We are looking for three new trustees to bring expertise in at least one the following areas:
- International Development, forestry and agroforestry.
- Public fundraising, marketing and Communications.
- Digital strategy and
- Human resource management and employment legislation
A knowledge of Africa and experience of strategic leadership is highly desirable.
With a skilled and committed Chief Executive and a high calibre team based in Bristol and across countries in dryland Africa, TREE AID is at an exciting stage in its development. As a trustee joining a cohesive and expert board, you will have an opportunity to support and steer the strategic direction of the organisation over the next three to six years.
