Job Overview

Sources and processes orders and/or commodities while ensuring the proper review, authorisation, pricing, specifications and delivery dates have been achieved. Maintains compliance with regulatory as well as company and department policies and procedures. Works with procurement to analyse supplier data to support the strategic approach to supplier consolidation, higher buying leverage, compliance with contract pricing and identify opportunities for process improvements and/or cost efficiencies to meet the purchasing needs of internal customers.


- Supports a defined internal customer base and provides purchasing expertise in relevant areas
- Has a good understanding of customer needs and tailors purchasing activities to meet these
- Identifies and meets cost savings targets from data analysis - developing performance plans for the site as it relates to third party spend
- Develops supplier relationships and supports the management of suppliers performance including third party manufacturing
- Leads the quarterly SBS meetings for Haverhill, coordinating agenda topics with procurement and site management
- Participates in relevant site meetings and supports supplier management & complaints process
- Is developing a broad knowledge of multiple commodity areas
- Analyses complex data and works closely with customers to identify areas of risk, applying own professional knowledge to make appropriate recommendations
- Ensures department operates full compliance with current policies and procedures in the areas of quality and
- Internal Controls, driving through process improvements to meet the changing business needs
- Be a strong, positive, and influential representative within Supply Chain Management, within Haverhill, and at corporate forums as required

Requirements & Qualifications

- O' levels / GCSE equivalent in Mathematics and English as a minimum is essential
- A' levels desirable
- Graduate or equivalent qualification desirable

Terms of Employment

- Ideal start date: 1 November 2017
- Permanent position
- 9-5.30 Mon - Thurs/9 - 4.00 Fri (1 hr unpaid lunch break)
- 10% annual target bonus
