LEARNING SUPPORT OFFICER

Term-time + 5 INSET days 25 hours per week

The position will initially be fixed term until 31st August 2018

(£19,201 FTE, actual pro rata salary £11,573.64 gross per annum)

Applications are invited from an SEND professional with a specialism in cognitive support willing to work with a range of professionals such as occupational health and speech therapists.

SEND qualifications are desired but not essential.

Applicants will need to possess:

An excellent understanding of SEND procedures

  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • An enthusiasm for working in an educational environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Dartford Grammar School is a selective academy for boys, admitting girls to its sixth form. There are six forms of entry to Year 7, and all of the students joining the school are from the top 25% of the ability range. The students come from Dartford, neighbouring towns and villages, and nearby London boroughs. The current roll is 1,485, including 625 in the sixth form.
