Bank of Cyprus UK has been operating successfully in the UK since 1955. During that time we have established ourselves as a refreshing and responsive alternative to the mainstream clearing banks, serving a diverse customer base across the UK.

We look after our savers by offering an attractive range of deposit products with consistently competitive rates of interest. We use our deposits to lend to British entrepreneurs and business owners, offering them a responsive, flexible and enduring banking relationship.

We are in the midst of an ambitious growth strategy which in the past 12 months has included launching a new consumer mortgage business and opening new business offices in Leeds, Manchester, Brighton and Bristol to complement our existing presence in London (3 offices) and Birmingham.

Our people are key to our customer offering and how we seek to differentiate ourselves as a banking provider in this competitive marketplace. An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Talent to join our HR team based in Southgate.

This is a newly created role, and represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Talent to use their skills, experience and influence to make a real difference to our employee proposition. Reporting into the Head of HR & Communications, you will be responsible for developing the BOC UK employer brand and working with senior leaders to ensure effective organisation design, resourcing, leadership & talent development and performance management to enhance organisational capability.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate “hands on” leadership experience of talent acquisition and development and ideally be from a retail financial services background. CIPD qualified or equivalent is essential. You will have strong communication skills and be confident at working at all levels in the business, including engaging and influencing at a senior executive level. You will also be prepared to “roll up your sleeves” and play an active role as part of a small but ambitious HR team.

Although the role is based at Southgate, we employ agile working practices which will enable the candidate to also work from other locations including our Central London office.
