One of the UK's largest insurance franchise groups with 90+ independent offices throughout the UK are looking to recruit a Regulatory Compliance Executive to work at their Head Office.
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will assist the team in providing a first class service to the wider group. Participating in audits of both Head Office and Franchise functions, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the group meets FCA and other regulatory requirements. As this role involves various compliance monitoring activities both internally and on site at the 90+ franchise locations around the country, you will be required to travel.
Other key aspects of this role are to assist in the design and implementation of compliance frameworks, maintain the content of the group's intranet site and sign off advertising, marketing and other external material for compliance purposes.

Main Duties

To assist the Compliance function in providing a compliance service to the "group" of operations, enabling them to meet FCA and other regulatory requirements.
Includes:-
·Maintaining the documentation of compliance manuals and procedural instructions.
·Participating in audits of Head Office and Franchise operations to ensure understanding of, and compliance with, regulatory requirements.
·Provision of general help / guidance including RMAR reporting and new FCA applications (playing a lead role in both).
·To assist in developing and maintaining Training & Competence regime

Compliance Knowledge / Awareness

·Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the FCA and other regulatory requirements.
·Be aware of industry developments / initiatives in the area of regulation and keep abreast of market practice / reaction.
·Advise Franchisees on an on-going basis of the impact of regulation and the required action.

Compliance Manuals

Assist the Compliance function in maintaining the various Intranet based compliance manuals, including:-
·FCA regulations - summary and detail.
·The "group's" systems and procedures to address compliance requirements.
·Compliance help text, procedure notes and reference material.

Compliance Help Desk

In conjunction with the Group Risk and Compliance Director and Compliance Manager, offer a Help Desk service for group staff (including Franchisees) to provide advice / support on compliance matters, generally including:-

·Technical queries
·RMARs
·New / amended FCA applications
·FCA visits, surveys and assessments

Compliance Audits

·Play a lead role in developing and maintaining audit check lists to be used to audit / review "group" operations for FCA and other regulatory compliance.
·Play a lead role in organising and carrying out office audit visits. Advise the Directors / Franchisees of results and action required. Conduct other ad hoc audits as required.
·Assist in conducting monthly monitoring of TCF MI in H.O. owned branches and ARs and report to board.

Compliance Sign-off

Play a lead role in the sign off of advertising, marketing and other external material for compliance purposes.
Provide compliance input as necessary to the development of new IT systems (including Internet Quote & Buy) and internal procedures.

Training & Competence

·Assist in developing, documenting and maintaining T&C regime.
·Recommended training plans
·Competency testing
·Training records
·Monitoring of training
E-learning

·Play a lead role in managing the e-learning training regime and provide guidance to Franchisees / H.O. on its use.
Intranet
·Assist in maintaining the content
·Ensure that a consistent look and feel is maintained and the information is accurate and relevant.
Board Reporting
·Assist in preparing regular formal reports for board on TCF and other agreed topics.

·Good communication skills - both in compiling written reference material and in personal dealings with Franchise Holders and H.O. Directors and Managers.

·Organisation and time management skills to ensure office visits are completed on schedule.
