Engineering Tutor / Assessor (Mechanical / Welding)

Our client was established in 1969, as a charitable organisation, and has been providing first class training across the Engineering and Manufacturing sectors ever since.

Working in conjunction with the Education and Skills Funding Agency and various awarding organisations; our client delivers a wide range of Level 2, 3 & 4 Engineering and Manufacturing Apprenticeships as well as a variety of commercial bespoke training programmes across the Midland regions.

Position: Engineering / Mechanical Welding Tutor / Trainer Assessor
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Job Type: Full & Part Time opportunities, Permanent
Working Pattern: 5 days per week
Salary: £Competitive depending on experience

About the role:

They have an exciting opportunity for a talented tutor / trainer assessor who specialises in Engineering / Welding to work with a range of customers in their Training Academy, Industrial and Commercial settings. They require an experienced individual with drive and enthusiasm to deliver high quality training to join their team.

You will deliver high levels of quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to learners to maximise individual’s achievement and progress opportunities.

In addition to this you will be expected to maintain high levels of success in all areas, using innovation within your teaching. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass your specialist skills on to the next generation of professionals. Working within their dynamic teaching environment, the role is primarily to carry out the teaching and assessing of our Level 2 and 3 Mechanical Engineering / Welding courses in their Training Academy based in Kettering (including practical and theoretical delivery with some off-site delivery).

About you:

- Level 3 qualification or above in related sector
- Certificate of Education (or equivalent)
- Assessor awards D32 D33 or A1
- Internal Verification award D34 or V1
- Significant successful teaching experience
- Experience of contributing to course design, curriculum development, tutorial and student support process
- Experience of work based assessment and commercial delivery
- Knowledge of curriculum and course content, Ofsted, Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding
- Mechanical Engineering / Welding L2 & L3
- Basic Electrical
- Mechanical Bench fitting
- Engineering Drawing
- Engineering Machining L2 /L3
- Use of ICT in curriculum delivery
ALL candidates require an enhanced DBS.
