Sat within the Marketing department this is an exciting opportunity to join a UK wide organisation at their head office in Gloucester. The successful candidate will have experience of working with digital platforms/ websites and content in order to achieve high levels of work and success within this role.
This is a maternity cover role which will take the successful applicant up to at least December 2018.
Job purpose•As my client work towards the launch of their new website early next year, this role will include writing and editing web copy•Creating pages using a content management system•Applying metadata to documents•Ongoing responsibility for the management, maintenance and development of the websites, Creating engaging and user-focused content, monitoring effectiveness and impact, and providing advice and guidance.
Main duties and responsibilities•Maintain, manage and continue to develop websites as communication tools and accessible resources for stakeholders.•Develop, create and edit effective and engaging digital content for all digital communication channels, •Research and analyse requirements of users’ digital communication channels, proposing and implementing changes. •Monitor and analyse the impact and effectiveness of digital communication channels, presenting findings to senior colleagues. •Monitor adherence to policies, procedures and guidance relating to digital communications.
Person specification•Experience in a similar role developing engaging and accessible content for a range of digital channels.•Experience of using a content management system to create and update web content.•Experience of providing advice on digital communications to others. •Knowledge of Google Analytics and other digital analytical tools.•Excellent written skills, with the ability to produce appropriate digital content for a range of audiences in clear English.•Excellent IT skills, including up-to-date knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web functions.•The ability to analyse statistics and data, and communicate findings to a wide range of audiences.•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and advise others. •Strong organisational skills, with the ability to determine priorities and manage own workload.
