If you have BMS / BEMS / Building Controls or HVAC experience this could be the role for you!

The Opportunity

Are you an engineer looking to work 9 - 5? Would you like to take your BMS experience to the next level with additional training? Would you like to advise and help customers and engineers?

A leading vendor is looking for passionate problem solvers, with strong communication skills and a background in BMS / Building Controls.

This static role is the perfect opportunity for a field engineer who is fed up with those 2 hour drives home, traffic jams and parking nightmares.

You will be the go-to person for a team of engineers; you will use your excellent problem solving skills and logical approach to ensure the field team can get on and do their job.

The role

Your role will be to provide technical and application support to all internal and external customers, and engineers in the field of our clients all over the UK and internationally on BMS projects including installs retrofits, fault finding, commissioning, maintenance and modifications.

You'll provide advice to new customers or existing clients looking at BMS solutions. This support will cover both a broad range of BMS Solutions and products, requiring strong knowledge of AHUs, HVAC, Lighting, Security, Sensors, Control Panels, Direct Digital Controls, Building Automation and Control Systems and other BMS infrastructure. This is however not a hands on role, it's a shirt and tie office environment learning and developing your knowledge base with great internal progression chances into senior engineering and management.

Full training is provided in this role, you are not expected to be ready to come in on day one and start on this role, what they do what to tap into however is your hands on technical knowledge. This will not be a quick process, and you'll still find yourself training and developing 12-18 months into the role. The initial training programme is quite intense and will last for a period of at least 3 months before you are promoted into the support department and then your learning really commences. An example of someone who we placed a year ago in this role has already gone on to complete his level 4 qualification all paid for by our client and said the training is truly second to none and he is looking at stepping up the ladder over the coming 12-24 months.

This role will require you to provide the highest levels of customer care at all times and be able to communicate technical issues and solutions to non-technical individuals. If you therefore sometimes feel as if you are doing your job with your eyes closed, or could explain to someone not on your site how to complete a similar task, that's how this role effectively works.

This is ideal for someone who is looking at cutting down travel and being based in cutting edge offices with real progression opportunities in a static working environment.

The Candidate

Anyone familiar with one or more of the following solutions; DESIGO (Siemens), Andover Continuum, Satchwell, TAC, TREND, EcoStruxure / StruxureWare, Tridium Honeywell, TAC, Johnson Controls, Cylon, Sauter, Easy IO, Landis & Staefa or Delta BMS systems would be right for this role.

You will be ambitious and want to grow and develop with a leading organisation, where you will be given the full support and opportunity to be the best you can be. You need to be a straightforward talker who is always up for a challenge and passionate about the work they undertake. You will need to be open to new experiences, including learning new systems and undertaking a lot of training.

Suitable candidates may have worked previously as maintenance engineers, field engineers, fitters, technicians and are now looking to move inside to a role which offers extensive development and progression.
