Our client is a well-established, niche provider of specialist cyber security software products and services with a client list consisting of FTSE 100 companies and Government departments. With UK and overseas offices, they are world leaders in many of the technology areas they operate in and are growing rapidly. As part of their continued expansion, and to capitalise on demand for their services and software, they now wish to hire a “heavy hitting” Senior Sales Manager to join their Managed Services sales team targeting major accounts.
Focussing both on new business acquisition within existing clients as well as new logos, the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for developing client strategies and creating the multi-level conversations that will lead to sales of multi-million pound managed services deals. The criticality and technical complexity of the software products my client offers ensures that the process of building customer relationships is many-layered and complex, and requires careful management by the Senior Sales Manager to reach a successful conclusion.
The successful candidate will have solid direct sales experience gained selling managed services, SaaS, software tools or similar software products. Experience of IT security would be a benefit but is not essential. It is however essential that candidates are able to demonstrate the management of complex sales processes and ability to engage with a wide variety of C-level stakeholders. Training in structured sales management techniques such as Miller Heiman or SPIN would be very useful. Above all candidates need to have an entrepreneurial approach, able to create and shape compelling propositions.
