We also offer the opportunity for career progression and we offer highly competitive rates of pay with a generous "refer a friend" scheme and enrolment in the company pension scheme.Medacs Healthcare are currently looking for an experienced home care worker, with an NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent, to provide home care to the elderly community in Clayton, Manchester.The shift patterns as below, will be a on a fixed rota basis,Monday - 7.00 am - 13.30pm and 15.30pm - 22.00pmTuesday - 15.30pm - 22.00pmWednesday - Day offThursday - 15.30pm - 22.00pmFriday - 15.30pm - 22.00pmAlternate weekendsShift pattern for weekend in.Saturday - 07.00 am - 13.30pm and 15.30pm - 22.00pmSunday - 07.00 am - 13.30pm and 15.30pm - 22.00pmFollowing weekend - Weekend off. Duties will include:Providing personal care, showering, bathing, toileting, assisting with pad changes, emptying and cleaning commodes, assisting to dress and undress etc.Assisting with medication either by offering a verbal prompt, physical assistance or, on some occasions, full administration.Preparing meals of choice, appropriate to the Service User's dietary needs.Light Housework, i.e. bed making, laundry, dishes, emptying bins and any other ad-hoc duties.Manual handling as and when required to include using a hoist, glide/slide sheets, banana board etc.Documentation - completing daily support records, medication records, mars charts and financial records - you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.You must be honest, hardworking, and flexible and have a genuine desire to promote the independence of vulnerable adults in our communities, be an excellent team player and have a compassionate and caring nature.Medacs Healthcare offer highly competitive rates of pay, flexible working hours, fully enhanced DBS checks (refundable after 100 hours), ongoing training and support with the opportunity for further education i.e. NVQ/QCF and the opportunity for career progression if required.If you believe this is the job for you, please contact the Recruitment Team for information and to discuss our recruitment process further on 0161 888 2635.
