Baltic Training are delighted to be recruiting for a Software Development Apprentice to join their industry leading clients expanding team based in Sale, Manchester. Our client specialise in creating job management software solutions for an array of companies in the engineering, gas and oil trades.
Due to their continued success, they are now keen to meet with aspiring software developers who can bring fresh ideas to their team. You won't be expected to know everything about software development as first class training and support is provided but a great work ethic, willingness to learn and first class attitude are all a must. You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:
- Using languages such as Java, Visual Studio and SQL to support with projects
- Testing codes
- Reporting on software
- Writing Scripts
- In house projects
Training to be provided
- Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development
- Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
- Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Systems and Principles
- Level 2 Functional Skills (English, maths and ICT)
Skills and qualifications required:
- Previous use of Java, Visual Studio or any other programming/coding language would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic
- Passion for software development

Upon completion of this apprenticeship programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.
Salary, hours and benefits
- £150 per week
- Full time (37.5 Hours per week)
Location and travel
This role is located in Sale, Greater Manchester and is easy access to local transport links from wider areas.
