Baltic Training and Mobius Media are delighted to be recruiting for a Web Development apprentice to join their team in based in Hessle, Hull. Mobius Media, a google partner, bring digital development solutions to Hull, the UK and World-wide with the aim of improving and growing their client's online presence. Services include web development, app development, e-Commerce consultancy and client management systems.
Due to their growing presence and success, they are now seeking talented individuals who can bring fresh ideas to their successful team. You won't be expected to know everything about web development as industry leading training is provided but a first class attitude and willingness to learn is a must!
A wise man once said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." Apprenticeships are built around this principle. Not only do our apprentices learn faster and earn money at the same time, they gain invaluable workplace experience.
When it comes to apprenticeships, research shows that apprentices can earn up to £4,000 more per year than their peers. Alongside this, all apprentices are entitled to other benefits such as pension and national insurance contributions, and also paid holiday entitlement.
You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:
- Front and back end web development
- Using coding languages such as HTML & CSS
- In house development projects
- Maintain and update existing client websites
- Attend client meetings
- Adhoc duties (calls, live chat requests, support requests)
Training to be Provided:
- Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
- Level 3 Advanced Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
- Software Testing and Software Design
- Object-oriented Programming C#
- Customer Support Provision
- Web Development
- Designing and Creating Advanced Websites
- Design Software
Skills and qualifications required:
- A passion for web development
- Knowledge in HTML or CSS would be beneficial but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use own initiative whilst being part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Eager to learn

Upon completion, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.
Salary, hours and benefits:
- £132 per week
- Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Location and Travel:
This role is located at the company office based in Hessle with easy access to local public transport links from wider areas.
