SEN Teacher - Behaviour or Communication Lead Teacher (TLR) Wandsworth SEN School KS1 SLD/PMLD Class Outstanding OfSTED (Sept 2017) 6 Students January Start Interview/Trial Days ASAP 3x Full Time Experienced TAs SEN Teacher - About the candidate: I am seeking to appoint and experienced SEN teacher who has QTS and recent experience teaching in an SLD or PMLD school environment. This excellent SEN school caters to children aged 2 - 11 with severe physical disabilities including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex health needs. The pupils follow a curriculum including an adapted National Curriculum which is differentiated and highly personalised to enable them to meet their individual educational needs. As well as academic progress the school aims to develop key skills including social and emotional well-being, communication, physical development including mobility and thinking and life skills. Pupils are encouraged to develop their communication skills, be independent and physically healthy with a focus on motivating pupils to engage in and enjoy the curriculum in order to better enable them to make as much progress from their starting points as possible. There is fantastic training and individual support for teachers and support staff which makes this an ideal position for a teacher seeking to make the move from mainstream into an SEN environment.
